Resource Reconnect Reinvigorate

Re-source in nature
Re-connect with others
Re-invigorate your business

Come together with exceptional people in an exquisite environment and be prepared (to be surprised) for whatever is coming next.

You already know the power and wonder of Co-Active gatherings, whether it is from coaching training, community days or leadership retreats. When we get together, magic happens!

We long for more, but don’t always know how to find it.

Vision:

Imagine what will happen when we gather together in an exquisite environment for 3 to 4 days with us!

Purpose:

  • You will be resourced and revitalized, with the know how to stay connected with nature’s invigorating sources.
  • You will come away with a deeper sense of yourself and new connections with others that defy space and time.
  • Your ability to contribute and influence others will double (not because you quadruple your efforts but) because you know how to source energy in stillness, in direct relationship with nature and community.

This is for you, for your clients, for this community and for all those who are influenced by the people you work with.

This is the only time this year we’ll be running this retreat, don’t miss out.

We want you to be there: Your presence is important.

Rhythm:

Enough structure to have new experiences and enough freedom to make it your own.

Ingredients for our days together:

Morning meditation (before breakfast) inviting shared stillness and silence, coming home to centre and listening for the guidance and intention that is present.

Self-served breakfast with delicious ingredients including cereals, homemade yogurts, organic jams, French breads, fresh juices and eggs or cheese.

After breakfast we are out in nature, sensing, exploring and absorbing the different qualities of earth, water, fire, air, wood and sky in the varied and beautiful environments in the near vicinity of the Lodge. We will be developing an inspirational relationship with these natural elements, both for ourselves and with others.

The second morning session will be in the Stillpoint, our purpose-built practice space. This time will be dedicated to discovering tools and techniques based on Tai Chi that offer ways to enhance our body wisdom. Each exercise is liaised with one of the natural elements and allows us to embed the natural energies available to us in our own make up, and understand how these show up in our relationships with others.

Buffet lunch with a varied selection of tasty salads and something healthy and hot each day, eaten out in the beautiful and relaxing gardens, weather permitting.

Afternoon free time for each person to do their own thing, from afternoon siesta to hiking up to the lake. There are many possibilities here – including writing your notes, planning your next event, talking with others, playing games, reading books, jigsaw puzzles – Whatever it is that helps you relax, resource, connect and reinvigorate.

Late afternoon will be a creative session together, drawing on the experiences of the day and putting it into tangible form of some description. This may take many forms, from nature sculptures, group mandalas, or giving back to the land, integrating our own presence into the natural environment. There is as much focus on listening to our impact as there is on creating impact.

Dinner is served at two large convivial tables with three courses of vegetarian foods using fresh ingredients selected from local providers. Our excellent chef creates delicious food that is enjoyable both to the palate and to the eye. (Wines are available for those who wish to purchase them.)

Evening storytelling for those who are still awake will be around the firepit in the Secret Garden or in the candlelit Stillpoint. Gathering in our rich experience, giving it new forms and telling stories into the future will create unforgettable memories and vivid threads, weaving past, present and future into one moment.

Key Benefits

You will walk away with new practices to enhance the experience of your clients:

  • Somatic coaching: We’ll teach you simple movement-based exercises from Tai Chi that reveal ingrained styles of interacting with others and offer accessible ways to experience what it feels like to do things differently. We’ve found weaving these practices into our Co-Active coaching changes everything for our clients.
  • Nature coaching: Simply walking in nature changes the coaching space. You will gain the confidence to use nature and walking to tap into new levels of awareness, revealing all sorts of signs, messages, and metaphors that can be used to enhance your coaching practice.
  • Simple meditation practices: If we ourselves are grounded before we go into each coaching session, there is more space for the client. If we then spend even a couple of moments with the client to become grounded, whatever they are bringing to the session already feels easier. Build this habit into your practice and see it transform your results and impact.

You will walk away with a new supportive community:

The people you bond with during coaching-based practices, experiencing nature together, by being vulnerable, by not knowing, by laughing together at the dinner table… These are people who understand you, who will be there for you, and support you well beyond our time together on retreat.

You will walk away reconnected to your best coaching self:

Topped up from spending conscious and creative time with nature, you will be inspired and ready to coach from a more rooted place. Transformed and rejuvenated, you will be free to fully dance in the moment with your clients, helping them to more easily evoke and materialise the transformation that they truly desire.

Nick Martin

I took my CTI Fundamentals course in December 2000, and have been a member of CTI faculty since 2008, so I have been swimming in co-active water for over a third of my life! I love being outdoors, and as a coach, trainer, and supervisor I know that whenever coaching goes into the outdoors magic can happen. Building community and making connections amongst coaches is also incredibly rewarding, and I am looking forward to bringing all of this together, and to welcoming you on this retreat, in May.

I am a lover of mountains and passionate about community, knowing that magic happens when we come together in extraordinary places. I was first introduced to Co-Active Coaching twenty years ago, when searching for a way to bring more active engagement to a doctorate in social psychology and the meditative practices of T’ai Chi Chuan and Reiki. This evolved into owning and transforming a rustic mountain gite into Lauvitel Lodge. A journey full of discovery, growth and imagination (adding in large doses of patience, courage, determination and love) it has become a place that lets us listen, explore, reveal and reach beyond what we thought was possible.
